It's no surprise that we're big fans of storytelling here, but we're also big fans of the storytellers (AKA the Eddie community). So, each week we're sitting down with some of our favorite people to ask them a quick question about their work, their process, and their perspective. First up is Efosa Osaghae. Efosa has been a friend of Eddie since the early days. He works at the intersection of film and journalism. A film producer behind the sci-fi thriller SENSATION, he brings a unique perspective from both his commercial work with tech giants like Facebook and Google, and his insightful industry analysis and editorial expertise. While Efosa is in the 'hot seat' today, you will also start to see his name on the blog more frequently as he becomes a regular contributor!
I’m a wildly curious person and routinely live out my days letting my eyes wander. Pre-AI, I would spot something of interest or peculiar but my curiosity would then fade as soon as my lack of recognition would increase. However, with AI, I now take pictures of everything I’m curious about, upload to either Claude or ChatGPT and send the prompt “what is this?”. Either AI would then let me know exactly what “this” was. But I don’t stop there. What usually follows is me going down many a rabbit hole as I try to find out more.
I was at a friend’s party earlier this year when I saw a curious looking cloud formation. High. White. With delicate brushstrokes in the sky. I asked ChatGPT what they were and it told me they were Cirrus Clouds. I never thought that what started as a simple question about ethereal white streaks in the sky would lead to becoming a cloud connoisseur but that’s what I find most remarkable about AI.
It’s a continual companion for my curiosity. No judgment. No “that’s a silly question”. You ask. It answers. And for me, those answers become seeds for future creativity.
